Medical Director, Public Health Specialist
Dr. Mai Al Jaber has over 16 years of experience practicing general medicine in Abu Dhabi, where she began her career in the healthcare sector working at Zayed Military Hospital (ZMH) in 2005.
Her strong interest in public health prompted her to obtain a master's degree in Public Health and Leadership from the Bloomberg Institute of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, USA.
In 2012, while working in the Department of Public Health at Zayed Military Hospital, she developed and implemented a number of health education programs for several military units, running health campaigns concurrent with local and global health events as well as raising public awareness on selected health topics. In addition, Dr. Mai was seconded for one year at Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy as Project Manager of Daily Operations. In 2013, she joined Emirates International Specialist Hospital as Deputy Medical Director and Public Health Specialist.
Dr. Mai continues her efforts to take a leading position in society through her active contributions to the Board of Directors of Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and her membership in both the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Sports and the Executive Office of the UAE National Olympic Committee.
In 2018, she was honored with the Distinguished Emirati Woman Award in recognition of all the amazing initiatives she leads.

Omar Al Naqbi was appointed Acting Executive Director of Emirates International Specialist Hospital in 2021, following a long association with Mubadala Health. In his position, he is building on the work he started in 2019, when he was appointed Mubadala’s asset manager for Emirates International Specialist Hospital to support the Executive team in implementing key projects focused on optimization of resources and capacity.
Omar studied in the U.S., graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Health Care Management Specialization.
In 2008, Omar joined Mubadala as a certified financial analyst trainee and has been part of the healthcare arm of the company ever since. His positions have included Senior Vice President at what was then Mubadala Healthcare, and he played an instrumental role in the establishment of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Omar was part of the core team that delivered what was a concept and business case for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2008, to actual operations in 2015. He supported and oversaw the different project workstreams, such as Construction, IT, and Medical Equipment, as well as various business set-up activities including recruitment and managing key stakeholder relationships. In 2016 he became asset manager for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, working closely with its Executive Team and key stakeholders such as Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to ensure successful operations, growth and sustainability of the hospital.

Khalid Al Amadi is the Chief Administration Officer at Emirates International Specialist Hospital . In his current role, he oversees marketing, new business development, procurement, facilities management and biomedical engineering at the multi-specialty hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Khalid joined Mubadala Investment Company’s healthcare division as a senior analyst in 2010, and by 2017 was appointed Vice President.
He has worked with Emirates International Specialist Hospital from the very beginning and was instrumental in supporting the opening of the hospital by working closely with the operations and project teams to ensure that facility preparation works were coordinated and executed smoothly. He has since led the procurement and negotiation of multi-million-dollar contracts for the entire IT platform for Emirates International Specialist Hospital ; supervised the procurement and installation of medical equipment for the hospital, and outlined future steps, on the basis of which subsequent action plan was executed.
Khalid is a skilled project manager with a flair for analytics and problem-solving and likes to inject creativity and innovation into his processes.
He holds a Master of Management degree in Clinical Informatics from Duke University’s School of Medicine in Durham, NC, along with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
